TOTS Program and Field Day...

Sam has been in a basketball program all year long.  He stayed late one day a week, and they played games and learned how to handle a basketball.  They had their end of the year program at Belhaven, and we all went to watch him.  It was pretty cute.

His last week of school they had field day.  Each grade had a different color tshirt.  The kindergartners got to go a little early so that they could play before the big kids got there.  They had all kinds of bouncies, obstacle courses, face painting, and relay races.  The big kids walk from the school--it was pretty cute when they all came spilling over the hill in their colored shirts.  I took Alex with me, and thank goodness Joe and Mom were able to come help corral him.  I would never have made it.

Hula hoop relays.  The kindergartners had a harder time grasping this one.  They were supposed to keep holding hands as they passed the hula hoop over their heads and step out of it.  Most of them chose to just break hands and pass it.  I have no idea who actually won.  Neither did they.

End of the Year Play...

Sam had his end of the year program, well, at the end of the year.  He knew all the songs, and sang most of them.  Ha!  He told me he was "a little nervous," but when it came to his part, he did a great job.  He stepped up to microphone and did his thing.  We were really proud of him.
